About a month ago I wrote a guest blog post for ArtsyShark.com on the importance of making sure that all your marketing videos reflect the quality of the work you do. Sometimes people think that as long as they post a video, any video, they've done their job. But, there is a problem with that thinking. That's because everything is about perception. Like it or not, we are born judges.
Your marketing film reflects you, your product, your service, or the program you are selling. Crappy video translates into crappy product. Remember, video is your virtual face-to-face. For example, in the "old" days you'd probably walk right by a bakery with dirty windows and misspelled signs. Today posting a video with blurry images and indecipherable audio is no different. It has the same effect, i.e., stay away!
If you want to get attention for your good work, you need to post videos that reflect that.
